MALAYSIA DIGITAL ARRIVAL CARD (MDAC)
Starting from 1 January 2024, all foreign visitors must complete a Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) 2 to 3 days prior to entering the country.

However, for now, visitors who are unaware of this requirement can still complete the MDAC upon arrival, with QR codes available at the border for convenience.

Who is Eligible?

Malaysia Digital Arrival Card for Entries via KLIA 1 and KLIA 2


  • Visitors of all nationalities who travel to Malaysia via KLIA 1 and KLIA 2
  • Citizens of Australia, Brunei, Germany, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United States and UK can use the e-gate after registration and first entry
 
Requirements

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months
  • Submission 2-3 days before travel date
  • For e-gate: minimum height of 120cm, citizens of countries listed above only
Who Is Exempt from Submitting an MDAC

i. Citizens of Singapore;

ii. Diplomatic and Official Passport holders;
iii. Malaysian Permanent Residents and Long Term-Pass holders;
iv. General Certificate of Identity (GCI) Brunei Darussalam holders;
v. Brunei Malaysia Frequent Traveller Facility holders;
vi. Thailand Border Pass holders; and

vii. Indonesia Cross-Border Travel Document (PLB) holders.
